Mint appoints Head of Retail Distribution

Mint Asset Management is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Head of Retail Distribution Matthew Hanchet. Matthew joins us from Generate KiwiSaver, where he has spent the past five years looking after clients and most recently held the position of business development manager. He has developed strong relationships with many advisers and brings key financial services experience, including being NZCFS Level 5 qualified, to his new role within the team.

In other staff movements, Mint’s Head of Sales and Marketing, David Boyle has made the decision to step down, after more than five years with Mint Asset Management, to pursue his passion for KiwiSaver and helping Kiwis to improve their financial capability. He’s planning to enjoy some time out over the summer, before identifying opportunities in these important areas, along with growing his portfolio of board positions.

Rebecca said: “David has been an integral part of the Mint team for a long time, helping us to grow our brand and funds under management. We’ll be really sad to see him go, but it will come as no surprise to most people that he wants to devote more time to helping New Zealanders with their everyday money matters, so they can improve their financial wellbeing.”

David will stay on until the end of the year to help with the transition. His other responsibilities will be handed over to Kirsten Boldarin, Head of Distribution.
